Matthew Sadrovitz is a Lehigh Valley Native & 22 year veteran of the fire service. Matt has more than two decades of experience in Fire & EMS. He began his fire service in 2004 with Macungie Volunteer Fire department beginning as a probationary firefighter, moving through the ranks to Deputy Chief and training coordinator. Matt later joined the Fogelsville Volunteer Fire Department in 2007 as an associate member, relocating to Upper Macungie Township in 2011, joining UMT Company 56. Working through the ranks of Firefighter, Captain, Training Coordinator, Deputy Chief and Fire Chief since 2020. Matt began his career in EMS as a volunteer EMT with Macungie Ambulance in 2003, before joining Cetronia Ambulance as a full-time provider in 2004 and earning his paramedic certification in 2006. In 2005, Matt deployed to New Orleans as part of the PA EMS Task Force following Hurricanes Katrina and Hurricane Rita. From 2012 to 2016, he served as a critical care flight paramedic with Lehigh Valley Hospital MedEvac. In 2013, Matt was appointed to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department as a Firefighter/Paramedic. Matt spent a large portion of his career assigned to the busiest company in the county, E261/TK26/MU26 (South Glen Burnie). Matt earned a promotion to Lieutenant in February 2023 & currently serves as a Roving Fire Officer in the 2nd Battalion. Matt has earned multiple citations for exemplary performance and life-saving interventions. In 2021, Matt heroically effected a rescue of a trapped occupant at a house fire in Upper Macungie Township & was awarded the "Spirit of Courage." Matt earned his certification as a suppression instructor at the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy. Matt grew up in the East Penn area of Lehigh County & is a graduate of Emmaus High School. Matt presently resides in Upper Macungie Township with his wife and two children.
